TYPES OF DONATIONS

Rest House

In 2007 we created the concept of the Rest House. Weekend healing retreats for Veterans and family caregivers of severely wounded warriors and the Rest House Project. The Rest House is a separate ongoing concept that brings together a community of professional practitioners to treat those in need in a safe and comfortable home environment.

Memorial

Donations made on behalf of a Veteran or loved one. You may make a Memorial or Tribute Donation via PayPal or you may mail your donation to our P.O. Box. Then, please send us a message regarding your memorial tribute, telling us the name of the memorialized and any additional special information.

Operational

Assistance with operating costs like website fees, office supplies, postage, printing of materials, and volunteer transportation. We are an all-volunteer organization with a network of caregivers, veterans, professional practitioners, and service providers. We proudly maintain a low operating budget but still appreciate donations to cover costs for basic utilities and services.

Educational

Educational outreach is a vital aspect of any organization that aims to inform and engage with its audience. By prioritizing this in your website updates, you ensure that the content remains relevant, accessible, and enriching for visitors. This approach not only fosters learning but also encourages interaction and feedback, which can be instrumental in shaping future content and strategies. Regular updates reflecting this commitment can significantly enhance the educational impact of your website.

Employer Match

Many companies have programs that permit employees to donate to charities of their choice, and for the company to match the employees’ contribution. Please check with your employer to see if there is a matching gift program for employees. Normally, employees provide proof to their employer of their contribution, and the company contacts Veterans’ Families United Foundation, requesting that VFU complete a matching gift form they provide.

HOW TO DONATE

Donations may be made via PayPal (this link will accept major credits cards also) or by simply mailing a monetary donation to our P.O. Box. You may choose to specify what donation type you would like to contribute to or leave it to us and we will ensure your financial gift is applied appropriately. For our Memorial and Tribute Donations, please visit our Memorial page for more information.  If making a donation as a Memorial or Tribute, please put the name to be honored under “message” or “instructions”.
