Veterans Families United (VFU) is an all-volunteer organization. Financial resources are needed and used to support our initiatives in assisting Veterans and their families to become empowered in the healing process. Additionally, VFU has been approved for 501.c.3 status as a non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Our federal tax ID is #20-8877536.
TYPES OF DONATIONS
Weekend healing retreats for Veterans and family caregivers of severely wounded warriors and the Rest House Project. Healing retreats are carefully selected and VFU uses these donations to sponsor Veterans and caregivers. The Rest House is a separate ongoing project that brings together a community of professional practitioners to treat those in need in a safe and comfortable home environment.
Donations made on behalf of a Veteran or loved one. Memorial gifts also provide transportation vouchers to those in need. A one-time $25.00 transportation voucher is gifted for emergency veteran or family needs as well as bus passes for the Veterans Diversion Program of Oklahoma County. You may make a Memorial or Tribute Donation via PayPal or you may mail your donation to our P.O. Box. Then, please send us a message regarding your memorial tribute, telling us the name of the memorialized and any additional special information.
Assistance with operating costs like website fees, office supplies, postage, printing of materials, and volunteer transportation. We are an all-volunteer organization with a network of caregivers, veterans, professional practitioners, and service providers. We proudly maintain a low operating budget but still appreciate donations to cover costs for basic utilities and services.
Educational outreach events are vital to maintaining our connection within the communities we serve. This type of donation provides funding that supports costs associated with film events, speaking engagements, public forums, book readings, and group sessions and more. All events are focused on Veterans, Service Members and their families.
Many companies have programs that permit employees to donate to charities of their choice, and for the company to match the employees’ contribution. Please check with your employer to see if there is a matching gift program for employees. Normally, employees provide proof to their employer of their contribution, and the company contacts Veterans’ Families United Foundation, requesting that VFU complete a matching gift form they provide.
HOW TO DONATE

You may choose to specify what donation type you would like to contribute to or leave it to us and we will ensure your financial gift is applied appropriately.
